Mike Robertson is passionate about building meaningful teams and organizations. Mike thrives by working with others to solve complex problems — whether they are market, social, or competitive problems. He is eager to join his next team to work collaboratively toward a challenging, new common goal. Mike founded AltaLink Capital with the sole objective of locating, investing in, and growing a single privately held company. Upon closing, Mike will join the company’s management team to help drive long-term growth and sustain the organization’s legacy into the future. Mike comes from a working class background where he learned the value of hard work and integrity. Professionally he has sought challenging, merit-based work including entrepreneurship, private equity, and investment banking. While working for private equity firm, Accel-KKR, Mike relished his time meeting with so many company owner-operators to discuss how a capital investment would enable exciting new personal and business initiatives. Mike joined Accel-KKR to build the firm’s direct sourcing and marketing function, which, together with his team, created an enduring and differentiated platform in the industry. Mike personally sourced Accel-KKR’s proprietary investment in HR software leader, PageUp People. Mike honed his valuation skills while working for investment banks Piper Jaffray and Lehman Brothers, where he advised service and technology companies through the global financial crisis. Mike received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also earned a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Utah and Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University, where he was the program’s top graduate. Mike finds his most enduring fulfillment from his family, where he and his wife, Candace, are raising two endearing and very active little boys.
