Bio

Ian holds a BA in Economics and English Literature from Tel-Aviv University, and an MBA with distinction from IMD. He was a Partner at Bain & Co from 1980-1989 and Head of Recruiting for Europe during that time. He joined Apax Partners in 1989 and was instrumental in establishing the first European Buy-In-Fund, which he led until 1993. Ian is one of the co-founders of Rubicon Partners. Today, while strongly involved in all business and operating performance issues of the individual portfolio companies, he takes the lead role in challenging and defining their strategy and business development. He is also active in deal origination, both as add-ons to current portfolio companies and new investments. He serves on the Advisory Council of Peace Works Foundation ‘One Voice’, is a trustee of Leaders Quest Foundation and Chairman of AEROWAVES contemporary dance performance network.
