Todd Murphy is a Partner with Gordon & Rees, located in the firm’s Chicago office. His practice is nationally-based, and involves commercial, civil litigation defense, and insurance-related matters. Mr. Murphy is an experienced litigator, who has represented numerous clients in the areas of director and officer, corporate management, product, environmental, premises, employment, financial, professional, and general liability, as well as construction, transportation, manufacturing, distribution, and healthcare litigation. He also represents clients in class action, business, and commercial matters, including leasing, restrictive covenants, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud. He regularly counsels clients with regard to the formation, negotiation, and litigation of commercial contract issues. Mr. Murphy has represented clients domestically, as well as internationally, including clients in China, Taiwan, Germany, Canada, California, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, New York, Texas, and Wisconsin. Mr. Murphy has successfully tried many matters in both the state and federal courts of Illinois, as well as numerous courts throughout the United States, involving several complex areas of the law. He also regularly represents his clients in formal arbitration and at mediation.
