Susan focuses her practice on patent preparation and prosecution in the Unites States and worldwide in the mechanical and chemical arts. Her practice includes assessment and enforcement of intellectual property rights in the United States and preparation and advisement on joint development and transfer of ownership agreements. Susan has a genuine concern for her clients’ business and assists them in evaluating and addressing IP business issues, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Prior to law school, Susan was a chemistry teacher at Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District, in Brecksville, Ohio. She enjoys presenting mini-seminars to teach clients about intellectual property. In 2013, Susan taught the capstone patent preparation and prosecution course at the University of Dayton School of Law as an adjunct professor.
