Bio

Mr. Wobeck’s practice is concentrated in representing corporations, investors and entrepreneurs on matters relating to capital formation, joint ventures, technology licensing, project development and financing, corporate governance and intellectual property strategy and development. Mr. Wobeck has over 25 years of transactional experience including 15 years as a Partner with Morris Manning & Martin and 2.5 years as the Vice President and General Counsel of Renmatix, Inc., an early stage technology company whose investors include Kleiner Perkins, BASF and Waste Management. At Renmatix, Mr. Wobeck served on the management team, advised the CEO on all Board matters, participated in presentations to potential partners and investors and the Board of Directors, managed the Company cap table and stock option plan and coordinated reconstitution of the Scientific Advisory Board in addition to his primary legal responsibilities. These responsibilities included leading the Company’s intellectual property team in developing the Company’s patent, trademark and trade secret strategies and coordinating all internal and external efforts in implementing these strategies, overseeing all financing activities including debt, equity and government grants, structuring and negotiating all technology licenses, master research agreements, joint development agreements, material transfer agreements, non-disclosure agreements and site acquisition, development and supply contracts and coordinating all employment and immigration matters. Mr. Wobeck is also very active in the Atlanta startup community and serves as a mentor to technology startups at the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech (ATDC). Mr. Wobeck’s particular specialties include structuring and negotiation of venture capital and private equity investments, complex debt financings, joint venture agreements, technology licenses, economic development grants, loans and tax credits, and agreements relating to project acquisition and development including brownfield sites.
