James Savage Bio

James joined YFM from Barclays’ captive private equity arm, Barclays Ventures, latterly Barclays Principal Investments. During his 10 years there he worked with businesses across a range of sectors to drive value creation and realisation. James orginally qualified as an ACA at BDO and then spent two years in the corporate finance team there, working on buy-side advisory mandates. James is a member of the portfolio team and manages several investments across the South of England. These include both small buy-outs (such as Macro Art, a graphics solutions business) and growth capital investments (including Elucidat, an e-learning content authoring platform, where he recently led a £2m follow-on funding round). He has led the successful exits of Group BC, Ferrabyrne and Intelligent Office for YFM.
