Joe Bob Edwards joined White Deer in 2011 and is a Managing Partner of the firm. His responsibilities range from sourcing and managing new investments to sharing responsibility over the firm’s strategy and direction. He currently sits on the boards of Axios, Cust-O-Fab, Extract, Flogistix, Fortress, Global Energy Storage (GES), LongPath, Midstream Texas, Quanah, TorcSill and WeldFit. Prior to White Deer, Joe Bob spent 13 years at First Reserve Corporation. He was the head of First Reserve’s oilfield service and equipment investment team, which at its peak oversaw over $4.0 billion in equity investments. In addition, Joe Bob served as the chairman of First Reserve’s development committee, with management responsibility for the firm’s junior investment staff. He began his career with Simmons & Company International. Joe Bob received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves as the Co-Chair of the KBH Energy Center for Business, Law and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. Joe Bob is a past President of the Episcopal High School Dad’s Club and has spent a number of years as volunteer coach and board member of Post Oak Little League.
