Kate Castle Bio

Kate joined Silversmith Capital Partners in 2020 to lead the firm’s marketing and communications initiatives and provide strategic marketing support to the firm’s portfolio companies. Kate has spent the past twenty years leading marketing and communications programs at venture capital funds including Victress Capital, Rethink VC, Flybridge Capital Partners, and Battery Ventures. She also co-founded and was an operating partner in XFactor Ventures. In these roles, Kate has worked alongside hundreds of technology companies providing strategic and hands-on marketing support throughout their growth. Prior to entering the capital markets sector, Kate served in marketing and public relations roles Cisco Systems, Sangate Systems and Porter Novelli. She also served as a volunteer with the Peace Corps teaching English as a Second language at a high school in Gabon, Africa. Kate lives with her husband and dogs Ripley and Zeke in Somerville, MA. She currently serves on the leadership team for the Boston Chapter of All Raise. When she’s not on the tennis courts trying to improve her game, Kate can be found exploring hiking trails throughout New England, cheering on Boston sports teams, trying to improve her amateur photography skills. BA, cum laude, in Anthropology from Wheaton College.
