Marcelo Souza Bio

Marcelo Souza is a Partner at Patria and our CIO of the Infra Core and Infra Credit funds. Mr. Souza is primarily responsible for supervising the investments in the energy sector in the Infrastructure business unit. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Argo Energia, as well as Chief Financial Officer of CBO Group and CPFL Renewables. He is the Chairman of the Board of Essentia Energia and Arke Energia, and a Board Member at Hidrovias and CBO Group. Before joining Patria, Mr. Souza served as Vice President of Business Development at Econergy, CFO at Alliant Energy Brasil, and several leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Souza holds a bachelor’s degree in Economy from Pontifícia Universidade Católica, a post-graduation degree in Management and Corporate Finance from Fundação Getulio Vargas, and an MBA from Ohio University.
