Salman Hasnain Bio

Salman Hasnain joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2022, and his responsibilities include transaction sourcing, execution, and managing the firm’s direct private equity investments. He currently serves on the boards of APCO Holdings, and Constellation. Salman has been an investor in the financial services sector for over fourteen years. Prior to Ontario Teachers’, he was a Managing Director at CPP Investments in the Direct Private Equity group and was part of the leadership team that founded the Capital Solutions group. Prior to CPP Investments, he was a Director at Lone Star Funds based in Dallas, TX. Before Lone Star, he was a Senior Associate at Equifin Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm focused on financial services. He started his finance career at JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley in New York. Salman has an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from Cornell University. Salman currently serves on the Kellogg Private Equity Advisory Council.
