Roger Liao Bio

Roger Liao, Director, joined New Mountain Capital in 2021. Prior to New Mountain, Mr. Liao was a Director at Advent International and a VP at Serent Capital where he partnered with management teams to define and execute strategic valuation creation initiatives in software, technology, and business services. Earlier in his career, Mr. Liao gained operating experience in the software and technology industry. As the VP of Product Management and Director of Strategic Programs at Mediaocean (a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company), he was responsible for developing and executing the value creation plan in the first two years of investment. At Microsoft, he led strategic planning within the enterprising licensing group with a focus on transitioning to a cloud-first business model. Mr. Liao began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company in Chicago, helping clients in multiple industries and functions, including strategic growth, sales & marketing effectiveness, and operations/supply chain efficiency. Mr. Liao received his BSc in Industrial Engineering from University of Michigan where he graduated magna cum laude and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he graduated with Dean’s List honors.
