James Outland is a founding partner of NCP and has over 30 years of private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and business development leadership experience in both entrepreneurial business ventures and established corporations. Prior to co-founding New Capital Partners, James served in various key roles in the healthcare industry and as an officer of UnitedHealth Group after its acquisition of Complete Health Services. James is currently Chairman of the Board for ACES Quality Management, Precision Business and DotCom Therapy. James also serves on the board of Wakefield & Associates (formerly CollectRx). James previously served as a Board Member of former portfolio companies Teladoc (NYSE: TDOC), Awarix (sold to McKesson [NYSE: MCK]), Senior Whole Health (sold to TA Associates), Prism Pointe Technologies (sold to Systems Maintenance Services, Inc.), REPAY (sold to Corsair Capital), P&R Dental (sold to The Beekman Group), Volly (sold to Williston Financial Group) Fident Health (sold to Avel eCare) Medsurant Health (sold to MPOWERHealth), and Healthfuse (sold to InTandem Capital). In addition to his role as Chairman of the Board, James also served as the CEO for Senior Whole Health during its first year of operations. James is active in the Birmingham community having previously served on the board of UAB Medicine and as Chairman of the Board of Birmingham Museum of Art. James also currently serves on the board of the UAB Health Services Foundation and as Chairman of the Board of Birmingham Legion, FC, a professional soccer team in Birmingham, Alabama. James has a BA in Political Science and a BFA in Advertising from Southern Methodist University.
