Edgar Sims Bio

Mr. Sims co-founded Nancy Creek Capital in 2005. He has been continuously involved in the Georgia banking industry since 1974. He has founded two banks and participated as a director overseeing their growth and subsequent acquisitions. He was a founding investor in a third bank. Mr. Sims has 40 years of legal experience, most recently as a senior partner in the Corporate Law Department of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, a national firm with offices in Atlanta. During that time, he has represented clients in numerous matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raising transactions, as well as on corporate governance issues. He has advised clients in diverse fields including engineering, accounting, commercial banking, investment banking, telecommunications, biotech, insurance, healthcare, distribution and manufacturing. Mr. Sims is a graduate of Davidson College and Duke University School of Law.
