John Hansen Bio

John Hansen is the managing partner of JH Partners. He combines a background as a private equity investor with 11 years in senior management roles in the consumer and retail sector, having built businesses ranging in size from $10 million to $200 million. Between 1998 and 2004, Mr. Hansen was President of Jesse.Hansen & Co, Inc. Prior to 1998, he was President and CEO of ThermoLase (AMEX: TLZ), a publicly-held aesthetic laser technology company, previously a division of ThermoElectron Corporation. Mr. Hansen was previously a principal with General Atlantic, a private investment company, and worked as an investment banker in the M&A department of Morgan Stanley & Co. Mr. Hansen received an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from the University of California (Boalt Hall) and an AB from Harvard College.
