M. Scott Jones Bio

Mr. Jones oversees legal and administrative issues for Haddington and assists portfolio companies with those issues as necessary. In addition, he is involved in portfolio company oversight, with particular focus on those companies’ larger commercial transactions and financings and investment monetization transactions. Prior to joining Haddington in 2000, Mr. Jones served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of TPC Corporation. As General Counsel, he oversaw the legal affairs of TPC and its subsidiaries, including Market Hub Partners, in all aspects of their businesses. Mr. Jones remained with TPC subsequent to its purchase by PacifiCorp, having responsibility for legal and financial matters arising in PacifiCorp’s domestic mergers and acquisitions efforts and reporting directly to PacifiCorp’s Vice President for domestic mergers and acquisitions. Prior to his association with TPC, Mr. Jones engaged in the private practice of law in Houston, Texas from 1980 to 1992 with the law firm of Dickerson, Carmouche & Jones. His practice focused, at various times, on federal and state tax planning for business entities and transactions, federal and state securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, financial institutions representation, and venture capital financing. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Pomona College in 1977 and his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 1980.
