Gert Jan van der Hoeven Bio

Gert Jan founded H2 in 1991, built and developed the H2 team, and introduced the firm’s strong focus on operational value add, including several of the firm’s approaches. He is Chairman of the Investment Committee of H2. Gert Jan’s passion is to indeed build better companies. Prior to founding H2, Gert Jan joined McKinsey & Company to work in The Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. At McKinsey, Gert Jan was responsible for the worldwide company diagnostics – Center of Competence. Gert Jan holds an engineering degree from the Delft University of Technology, and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management.
