Before joining General Atlantic in 2023, Kara was Head of Communications and Social Impact, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, and Managing Director of the Foundation at First Republic. Prior to joining First Republic, Kara led American Ballet Theatre (ABT), America’s National Ballet Company, as Executive Director and served as a senior executive at Lincoln Center guiding strategy, fundraising, new business ventures and global partnerships.
