Bret Wiener Bio

Bret Wiener is the Founder and CEO of Gemspring Capital. Over the course of his career, Bret has been involved in over 125 acquisitions across a broad range of industries. Prior to founding Gemspring in 2015, Bret was a Managing Director at H.I.G. Capital where he spent 11 years. Bret also worked in Corporate Strategy at Microsoft and investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Bret’s extensive experience includes earlier career stints as an institutional cook, a NYC messenger, and a telemarketing rep. Bret serves on the Global Advisory Council of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Leadership Council of Grace Farms. Bret received a BS, summa cum laude, from New York University and an MBA from Stanford University.
