Luigi Tommasini Bio

Luigi Tommasini has been a Senior Partner at Fondo Italiano d'Investimento SGR since November 2010. Previously, he was a member of the funds -of -funds team of AXA Private Equity. He has served on several advisory boards of Italian and foreign funds and has been a member of the investment committee of the AXA Private Equity small buyout/expansion fund. Beforehand, he worked for Apax Partner. He began his career as a management consultant for McKinsey&Company at their offices in Milan, São Paulo (Brazil) and San Francisco (USA) and was a summer associate at Goldman Sachs' London office, working in the M&A division. Luigi graduated with honours from the Bocconi University in Milan and obtained a MBA (Palmer Scholar) from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania.
