Peter Lovas Bio

Peter founded EMF Capital Partners with the vision of creating a financials-focused private equity firm specialising in the emerging markets. In addition to leading EMF, Peter is responsible for origination and value creation. He is also a member of the Investment Committee of the EMF New Europe Insurance Fund. Peter has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry including direct equity investments. He was previously Head of CEE/CIS/Turkey Investment Banking at HSBC where he built a highly profitable franchise with a principal focus on advising financial institutions on capital raising and M&A in the CEE/CIS /Turkey region. He previously held CEE/CIS focused senior investment banking roles at Dresdner Kleinwort and ING Barings, having started his banking career at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development where he focused on direct equity investments in the CEE region.
