Michael Southard Bio

Michael founded Elvisridge Capital in 2018. His background includes 10+ years in corporate finance with GE Capital as a portfolio manager and business development officer. He also owned a small blow molding business with a partner that was later sold after growing sales 5X in three years. His most recent experience includes 22+ years focused on developing a contractor-driven consumer products company into one of the leading landscape lighting companies in North America. The last two years prior to founding Elvisridge Capital, Michael led the international sales effort for the same company. The business sold in 2018 to a Fortune 500 company. As a shareholder and executive, Michael was involved in all aspects of the sale including selection of the M&A team to lead the successful exit. Michael serves on the Board of Directors at Blackfin Rods, a portfolio company of Elvisridge Capital. He also serves on the Board of Trustees at the University of Tampa.
