Justin Roberts Bio

Justin has focused the last 17 years of his career on investing in technology. He is currently the Head of the Investment Team and has led Cove Hill's technology investment efforts since its founding. Prior to co-founding Cove Hill, Justin was a Partner at General Catalyst Partners (“GC”) where he co-led the later stage investing team. In addition to his investment and portfolio leadership, Justin also co-led the later-stage sourcing team at GC utilizing technology to drive efficiency and built infrastructure to train Associates and Vice Presidents. Prior to General Catalyst, Justin was a Vice President and Principal with Thomas H. Lee Partners in the Media, Information Services, and Technology group. He also ran the associate training and recruiting program. Prior to THL, Justin was an Associate in the technology, media, and telecom group at TA Associates. Justin also worked as an Analyst for Coatue and Banc of America Securities in the technology groups. When Justin is not in the office, he enjoys adventures with his wife and two sons and a wide range of outdoor activities including running, skiing, rafting and climbing. He is also a proud North Carolina Tar Heel fan. For over a decade, Mr. Roberts served as treasurer and finance committee chair for Prospect Hill Academy, one of the top-ranked schools in the country for helping diverse and low-income students achieve their dream of attending college. Justin graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in economics and biology, cum laude and from Harvard Business School with an M.B.A.
