Joseph Scott Bio

As Continuim’s Managing Director of Portfolio Operations, Joseph provides operational and strategic leadership to the firm’s portfolio companies. With a focus on delivering performance objectives, Joseph’s leadership is focused on long term strategic planning and near-term execution. He is passionate about building teams and fostering a transparent, accountable, and winning corporate culture, where people feel valued and motivated. Prior to joining Continuim, Joseph served as President and CEO of Tirus - one of the largest titanium companies in the US. He spent the previous 11 years with Alcoa, which became Howmet Aerospace, in a variety of roles, including Vice President and Strategy and Operational Planning, in which Mr. Scott managed and executed Corporate Strategy initiatives, M&A, and Integrations. Joseph first fell in love with manufacturing while helping to build and operate a high-end furniture business in North Carolina. Joseph graduated from Brown University with a degree in English and Economics, and received a Master’s from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, stepson, and two dogs. He enjoys doing house projects at the family cabin, building furniture, traveling, and playing golf.
