Gene Yoon Bio

Gene Yoon is the Managing Partner of Bregal Sagemount. Prior to founding Bregal Sagemount, he was the Head of Private Equity for Goldman, Sachs & Co.’s Americas Special Situations Group, where he focused on middle market growth equity investing. Before Goldman Sachs, Gene was a Partner at Great Hill Partners, a private equity firm specializing in the media, communications, technology, and business services sectors. Earlier in his career, he was Director of Corporate Development at Geocast Network Systems, a venture-backed technology infrastructure provider. Gene began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in investment banking. Gene holds both a Bachelors in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
