Marat Altinbaev Bio

Marat is a Vice President at Banyan where he is responsible for the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities as well as supporting companies in the portfolio. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Marat was an Associate Director with OMERS Private Equity where he was responsible for analyzing, structuring and executing buyout investments as well as providing support and guidance to portfolio companies across the healthcare, technology, business services and industrial verticals. Prior to that, Marat worked at OMERS Infrastructure and, earlier in his career, in investment banking in the M&A group at TD Securities. Marat has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a CFA Charterholder.
