Richard Powell Bio

Richard has over 20 years of M&A and investing expertise as the Founder & Executive Chairman of APC Holdings. He has overseen the growth of APCH and its portfolio companies, which at their peak generated combined annual revenues of +US$2.0 billion and employed over 15,000 people globally. He also serves as Chairman of The RMP Group, leading the strategic planning and execution for the firm’s diverse global business and philanthropic interests. Previously, he was a Co-Founder and Sr. Manager Director of Project Black at Ariel Alternatives, a $1.5 billion private equity fund investing in middle-market suppliers to Fortune 500 firms. He is or has been actively involved in numerous non-profit boards and organizations, such as ACG Orlando and The Billion Dollar Roundtable and Nexus Global. Richard has been featured in media outlets including CNBC, Wall Street Journal, M&A Advisor, the Orlando Business Journal and others, and has been recognized for his leadership and innovation in mergers and acquisitions. He was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and is a member of YPO. He holds a AB in Economics from Harvard University, where he was on the varsity Soccer & Track teams, and has completed coursework at MIT Sloan, Harvard Business School, and Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
