Irene Liu Bio

Irene Liu joined Advent in 2022 focusing on investments in the business and financial services sectors. Prior to Advent, Irene spent 12 years with Apax Partners, where she was a principal in the internet and consumer sector team. She has closed transactions across retail and consumer, business and financial services, and internet sectors. Prior to Apax Partners, Irene worked with Morgan Stanley in mergers, acquisitions and restructuring group. She started her career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, working both in China and the US. Irene received a BA in International Economics from Fudan University, an MSc in Finance and Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
