GEVERS, a Belgian office specialised in intellectual property. Soon thereafter, the firm opened its doors in Brussels, Liège and Ghent as well. At the end of the 1930’s GEVERS created the first worldwide database containing all registered trademarks. In 1966 COMPU-MARK, located in Antwerp, was also established by Jacques Gevers Senior. As a result of the entry into force of the new protection system in 1971 GEVERS applied for more than 25.000 Benelux trademarks.
