Ian Weingarten is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Partnerships. In this role, he leads the company’s efforts in M&A and partnerships globally. Ian was previously Head of Global Partnerships, overseeing the company’s business development activities across all product areas, including search, content, ad tech, platforms, mobile, and communications. Ian led certain key partnerships including the Mozilla search deal that was struck in November 2014 and, more recently, the amendment to the company’s Microsoft search alliance. Before that, Ian spearheaded Yahoo’s M&A efforts in media and mobile and worked on key Yahoo acquisitions including Tumblr. Prior to joining Yahoo in 2013, Ian spent most of his career in private equity, including positions at Apollo Management LP and The Gores Group. He started his career at Goldman Sachs in their M&A group. Ian graduated summa cum laude as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and Joseph Wharton Scholar with a B.S.E. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
