Ryan Oatman is a vice president in the midstream & downstream investment banking group. At Simmons Energy | A Division of Piper Sandler®, he has represented sellers and buyers across a diverse set of geographies and sub-industries and advised clients in related-party and restructuring transactions. Prior to joining Simmons Energy in 2016, Oatman covered oil and gas producers at Cowen and Company, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Canaccord Genuity and FBR Capital Markets. Oatman graduated magna cum laude from Trinity University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and concentrations in accounting and finance. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University in 2007 and obtained his CFA® charter in 2011.
