Alex is an intellectual property and corporate attorney practicing in the firm’s Trademarks, M&A, and Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice groups. Her practice focuses on advising businesses with respect to trademark protection and branding strategies. She also assists clients with corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and equity and debt financings. Alex received her J.D. from University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology. During law school, Alex served as a student attorney in the UNC Intellectual Property Clinic, where she gained experience counseling clients on trademark matters and filing trademark applications with the USPTO. She studied accounting and biological health sciences at the University of South Florida, where she earned her B.S., summa cum laude. Prior to law school, Alex worked as a corporate accountant at a Fortune 500 company.
