Jeff Koh Bio

Jeff is a mergers and acquisitions partner with extensive experience representing: (1) private equity sponsors, venture capital funds and strategic acquirers in their investments and acquisitions; (2) founders, companies and sellers in raising liquidity and exits; and (3) executives and management teams on their compensation and incentive equity arrangements. In addition to leveraged buyouts and minority investments, Jeff works with investors and companies in venture capital financings and serves as outside general counsel to founders, businesses and portfolio companies. Jeff has represented over 50 searchers and search fund holding and operating companies in all aspects of entrepreneurship through acquisition: forming search funds (traditional, self-funded, holding company, committed capital), searcher and investor economics, search acquisitions, add-ons and exits. Prior to joining the firm, Jeff worked for over a decade at large international law firms (including Ropes and Gray's private equity practice, Sidley Austin's M&A practice and Goodwin Procter's search fund practice) and clerked at the Delaware Court of Chancery. At Michigan Law, Jeff was on law review, national finalist in Jessup moot court and founded the Michigan Journal of Private Equity and Venture Capital.
