Linda Qiao Bio

Linda Qiao is the head of Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP Shanghai Representative Office. With over 16 years of experience in practice, Linda has been actively involved in various cross-border investment projects relating to China. Her areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, cross-border direct investment, hospitality, employment, corporate finance, and insolvency and restructuring. Linda is particularly active in advising clients in the hospitality industry in the preparation, negotiation, amendment and finalization of hotel/serviced apartment management agreements, as well as documents for branded residential projects, and her clients include Capella Hotel Group, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, Minor Hotel Group, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts and Oakwood Asia Pacific Ltd. She also acted for the liquidators of Lehman Brothers in its winding-up of China business and related matters, for which Rajah & Tann LLP’s involvement won the IFLR Award for Restructuring Deal of the Year 2009. Further to being named to China’s A-List Elite Lawyers (Foreign Law Firms in China) by China Business Law Journal in 2018 and 2019, Linda is included in the 2021 edition of China Business Law Journal’s A-List Elite Lawyers again as one of the 100 A-List Elite Lawyers of China (Foreign Law Firms in China).
