Dr. Leif Gösta Gerling Bio

Dr Leif Gösta Gerling is a lawyer and partner at the Frankfurt office. He advises national and international clients on acquisitions and disposals of companies or shares thereof (M&A) as well as corporate financing measures, and develops tailor-made transaction concepts which, in addition to corporate law matters, consider tax, antitrust and employment law aspects. Furthermore, he advises on merger control, abuse of dominant market power as well as horizontal and vertical restraints of competition. Dr Leif Gösta Gerling was admitted to the bar in 2009 and has since worked for international law firms in Germany and abroad. Dr Leif Gösta Gerling studied law in Frankfurt/Main and Brussels. In addition, he graduated in Los Angeles, USA with a Master of Laws degree for which he was awarded the First Honors Award, specializing in M&A, Business Association and Competition Law. He also holds a PhD in law related to sector-specific competition regulation of monopolistic market structures. Being a native German speaker, he is also fluent in English and also speaks French and Spanish.
