Bruce Herzog Bio

Bruce Herzog advises private equity clients and portfolio companies on strategic transactions across the energy, industrials and manufacturing, distribution, and telecommunications sectors. Bruce is one of the earliest practitioners in the Texas market to have a full-time practice dedicated to private equity transactions. A native Houstonian with broad private equity relationships dating back to the late 1980s, he regularly counsels private equity firms, infrastructure funds, and portfolio companies on a range of private equity transactions. Prior to joining Latham, Bruce was a partner at another leading global law firm, where he served on the executive committee and as co-managing partner of the Houston office. Before that, he was co-CEO of Genesis Park, a Houston-based venture capital firm, and served as law clerk to Judge Homer Thornberry of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Bruce is a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is a former director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Cancer Center Advisory Board, a former member of Law360’s Energy Editorial Advisory Board, a former director of the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and a former member of St. John’s School Alumni Board.
