Andrew Lee Bio

Andrew is a partner in the Marine and Trade team and is head of the Singapore office, which he co-founded in 2009. Andrew has a broad marine, trade and energy practice with an emphasis on dispute resolution. Andrew has been with Hill Dickinson since 2001 and has worked for the firm in London and the UAE, as well as Singapore. Before joining, Andrew worked as an underwriting assistant in London. Prior to that, he spent a year in China, teaching English. Andrew’s practice spans all areas of wet and dry shipping. On the wet side, he has particular experience in relation to groundings and salvage, as well as collisions and fires. On the dry side, charterparty matters form the bulk of his practice. He has particular interest and experience in relation to offshore contracts and disputes and is also involved in marine insurance matters. Andrew also has a strong commodities practice advising and assisting trading houses on contract wordings and disputes. Andrew completed his law degree in 1998 at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Thereafter he studied for his LPC at the College of Law in Chester.
