Bio

Caitlin Rose is co-leader of the Private Equity Group and practices business law with an emphasis on mergers & acquisitions and securities. Her practice focuses largely on private equity & venture capital investments, add-ons and divestitures, as well as cross-border M&A. She also regularly acts on behalf of public companies and underwriters, in going public transactions, securities offerings and general securities matters. Caitlin works closely with some of Québec’s largest private equity firms, as well as their portfolio companies, in M&A activities, reorganizations and serving in a day-to-day advisory capacity. She regularly acts for Novacap, including in its divestiture of Knowlton Development Corporation Inc. (KDC) and its investment with Caisse de dépôt in Nuvei Corporation (previously Pivotal Payments). Caitlin’s extensive public market experience includes acting for Nuvei in its initial public offering (IPO), for Taiga Motors in its going public transaction, for Goodfood in its going public transaction, for Lumenpulse in its IPO and for a syndicate of underwriters in the IPO of Stingray. Caitlin is regularly consulted by public issuers on continuous disclosure obligations, executive compensation and equity financings. She also advises on privatization transactions, on both the issuer and buyer side. While assisting clients in various industries, Caitlin has developed particular expertise in the IP/IT sector. She draws on this knowledge in working with the firm’s Intellectual Property and Communications practice groups. Caitlin is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Mergers & Acquisitions Committee. She is a member of the firm’s Securities, Mergers & Acquisitions Steering Committee, co-leads its Private Equity Steering Committee and is a member of the U.S. Committee. She served as Co-Head of Student Recruitment in Fasken’s Montréal office from 2015 to 2018. Caitlin is a member of the board of her alma mater, Lower Canada College, as well as the St-Mary’s Hospital Foundation and the Centaur Theatre. She also serves as a director for Young Canadians in Finance (YCIF) and the Canadian Club (Montréal).
