With several decades of broad-based experience as a business lawyer, Paul Ode skillfully structures and closes acquisitions and divestitures. He assists clients with raising capital, negotiates their critical contractual arrangements, and helps find solutions to problems that could threaten the trajectory of their businesses. He also guides them through financing transactions and restructurings, and assists them with achieving compliance with regulatory requirements. As managing partner and CEO at Downs Rachlin Martin from 2008 through 2017, he has a unique perspective when it comes to achieving clients’ most important business objectives. Paul sees the practice of law as a team sport, drawing on DRM’s firm-wide depth of knowledge to provide seamless service to his clients. Clients have benefited from his ability to get the deals closed within the client’s prescribed timeframe, without surprises. Outside of work, he greatly enjoys getting out on the water and on the trails as he raises his family in the supportive community of Burlington, Vermont.
