Calise Cheng Bio

Calise Cheng practices corporate and securities law, representing companies at all stages of their life cycle, from startups to large public companies. She also represents venture capital firms and other institutional investors. Her practice covers a broad range of general corporate and transactional matters, including venture-backed private financings, initial public offerings and other securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and public company disclosure matters. In particular, Calise works closely with late-stage private companies in preparing for their IPO. Calise is recognized as a leading capital markets lawyer by The Recorder, which named her Attorney of the Year in 2022. Prior to joining Cooley, Calise was a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
