Todd Christensen was determined to become a successful business owner since his early teenage years. To prepare himself, he sought the best education possible for the role. In 1991 he graduated from The Richard Ivey School of Business and Western Law’s combined law/MBA programme having won several academic and extra-curricular honours. After graduating, he spent four years in law, earning a reputation as a skilled commercial litigator while pioneering the unique approach to debt collection now being undertaken by CLF. To keep on track with his career plan, he joined an international consulting firm in 1995 to gain business experience. After completing a number of long-term assignments that dramatically improved the profitability of large client-companies (most recently The Boeing Company’s military helicopter division) he resigned from that firm at the end of 2002. At that point he supported his family working as an independent consultant half-time while setting up and carrying out the pilot for CLF.
