Kwon Lee Bio

Kwon Lee is a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group, a member of the Asia Committee, and a member of firm’s Partner Promotion Committee. He also serves as Global Head of the firm’s Korea Practice. In this capacity, Kwon works substantively in energy and infrastructure equity, real estate, finance and M&A transactions as well as construction & engineering arbitration, commercial litigation and regulatory compliance works globally. Kwon Lee’s extensive work scope in litigation and international arbitration relates to construction disputes, commercial contracts, employment and trademark infringement matters. He works on a global level and often works out from BCLP’s London and Paris offices while closely collaborating with BCLP offices throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. He has over 25 years of experience advising on a wide range of cross-border real estate transactions. Kwon has advised pension funds, asset management companies, securities companies, construction companies, financial institutions and conglomerates seeking investment into large scale overseas development projects, construction loan, senior loan, sale and acquisition of various asset types (including commercial buildings, logistics, retail, hotel, multi-family residences), acquisition of mezzanine and B Notes. Kwon was an investment advisor to both local and central government authorities in Korea and sat as an investment review board member to several pension funds in Korea. Kwon also served as Corporate Managing Partner at one of the leading law firms in Korea and as Senior Member of Cross-Border Alternative Investment/Real Estate at a top Korea law firm. He is fluent in English and Korean.
