Jeffrey Wu Bio

Jeffrey articled with Bernard LLP, joined the firm as an associate in July of 2020 and became a partner in January of 2025. He practices in the firm’s Business Law Group, assisting clients with a range of corporate and commercial matters including private M&A, corporate finance and corporate governance. Recently, Jeffrey has focused his practice on M&A transactions involving marine-based assets such as water lot leases and vessels. His work also covers vessel financing, charter parties, Transport Canada Vessel Registry registration and other commercial shipping matters. Jeffrey obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia. Prior to attending law school, he also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. During law school, Jeffrey served as President of the Asia Pacific Law Club where he organized a series of networking events, providing an opportunity for students to connect with lawyers who serve Asia-based clients.
