James Connors Bio

Jim Connors, partner, is chief technology officer of William Blair & Company. Jim joined William Blair in 1999 and has responsibility for all technology services across the firm. He is a member of the extended leadership group and serves on the risk and business continuity committees. The technology group is focused on building digital, cloud, and analytical capabilities to drive William Blair’s business objectives. Before joining William Blair and Company, he was with John Nuveen & Company for six years as vice president of information services and was the senior officer responsible for all technology services. Prior to that he was a consultant with McKinsey & Company focused on strategy, operations, and systems consulting within the financial services industry. Jim received a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
