and access,
Before joining Meridian Capital, Bruce enjoyed a long and distinguished legal career. His practice focused principally on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and complex ownership succession transactions. Business owners, board members, and senior executives relied on him as their confidant. Bruce was a member of Heller Ehrman, then a global law firm, where he served for a time as chair of its corporate practices world-wide. During his years of practice, Bruce worked on hundreds of transactions for a wide range of companies, including manufacturers and fabricators, aerospace contractors, financial institutions, forest products companies, retailers, seafood processors, utilities and energy companies, construction companies and subcontractors, technology companies, infrastructure developers, and more. These companies ranged in size from multinationals to family-owned enterprises. Bruce also served on an interim basis as general counsel to a NYSE-traded investor-owned utility. After leaving law practice, Bruce joined Elliott Cove Capital Management, a registered investment advisor, where he served as president and CEO and as a member of its board of directors. Bruce joined Meridian Capital in 2013 and has been a managing director of the firm since the beginning of 2014. Bruce is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he earned both his undergraduate and law degrees. He holds Series 79, Series 82, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses administered by FINRA. Bruce has completed the Harvard Business School course of study Families in Business: From Generation to Generation.
