Drew Schaefer Bio

Mr. Schaefer joined Hovde Group in February of 2023. Prior to Hovde, Mr. Schaefer worked for Janney Montgomery Scott in the depository space for six years. Mr. Schaefer’s experience includes advising community banks on strategic options, capital planning, sell-side mergers, buy-side mergers and capital raising. Mr. Schaefer is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and primarily serves clients in the Midwest and Mountain West. Mr. Schaefer has participated in over 45 transactions, representing over $2.9 billion in deal value. Mr. Schaefer received a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Kansas. Mr. Schaefer is licensed with FINRA as a registered representative holding both the Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
