Jan Ebert Bio

Jan Ebert is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Transaction Advisory Group in Frankfurt. With more than 10 years of experience, Mr. Ebert specializes in providing financial buy-side and vendor due diligence and related transaction advisory services to private equity funds on domestic and cross-border transactions. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including manufacturing, automotive, software and healthcare. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ebert spent two years with the Transaction Services Group of Deloitte Frankfurt, where he served as Senior Manager, and six years with the Deal Advisory — Transaction Services Group of KPMG Germany. He started his consulting career with the Transaction Advisory Services team of Baker Tilly Germany, primarily engaged in buy- and sell-side due diligence projects, but also involved in projects in adjacent areas such as audit, valuation and restructuring for German large and mid-cap clients. Mr. Ebert’s notable transactions include buy-side due diligence of Norsk Hydro’s rolled aluminum products segment in Europe (now: Speira) for KPS Capital Partners and buy-side due diligence/acquisition of R+S Group by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG. Mr. Ebert earned an MBA from Goethe University Frankfurt. He is a German Tax advisor (Steuerberater). A German national, Mr. Ebert is fluent in English and German.
